The 2016 Fall Sports Games were kicked off at the central stadium of west campus on October 20th morning. Zhang Yusheng, Deputy Secretary of SDUT’s Party Committee, presided over the opening ceremony.
At 8:00 am, the flag guards，the decoration teams of flowers and red flags, the referees team and the athletes teams marched into the stadium in turn with the stirring music. The athletes teams passed by the rostrum in the vigorous stride. Featured images and costumes were exhibited, which highlighted SDUT’s grace and spirit. Later the flag-raising ceremony was held with the majestic national anthem.
Lv Chuanyi, Secretary of SDUT’s Party Committee, announced the opening of the games.
President Zhang Tiezhu delivered the opening speech.
The representatives of athletes and referees took their oath respectively. Afterwards, the collective performances went on stage.
After the performances，the chief referee announced the beginning of the competitions. More than 1,800 athletes from 40 teams, showed their outstanding sport talents.
