On March 28th morning, the provincial high-level university construction plan audit demonstration meeting was held in the conference room of the 9th floor in Hongyuan Building.
LU Bingheng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, served as the leader. Other served as members, including ZHANG Shiqiang, president of Jinan University, ZENG Qingliang, president of Shandong Normal University, XU Jiuhua, member of the discipline evaluation group of the State Council and professor of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, HUANG Chuanzhen, dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering of Shandong University, and LIU Yonghong, dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering of China University of Petroleum (East China). And leading officials of SDUT, including HU Xingyu，deputy secretary of the Party committee and president of SDUT, WANG Libin, WEI Xiuting, YI Weiming and Su Shoubo, standing committee members and vice presidents of the Party committee, attended the demonstration meeting, and heads of relevant functional departments attended the demonstration meeting.
President HU Xingyu, on behalf of SDUT, expressed warm welcome and sincere gratitude to aforementioned experts and briefly introduced the meeting. He asked for deliberation on the construction plan and suggestions for future development of SDUT.
Mr HU made a detailed report on the high-level university construction plan of SDUT in five aspects: school overview, comparison with targeted university, ideas and objectives, detailed measures and guarantee mechanisms.
After listening to the report carefully and reviewing the construction materials on site, the experts attending the meeting made speeches one after another and fully affirmed the construction plan. They said that according to the requirements of building high-level universities in Shandong Province, the development goals and the construction path of SDUT in the next five years were clearly defined. The targeted university was been properly selected, the development goals were accurately positioned, the construction ideas were clear, and the tasks and measures were feasible. It met the requirements of the implementation plan and relevant documents for the construction of high-level universities in Shandong Province and unanimously agreed to adopt the construction plan. Meanwhile, the expert group put forward guiding opinions and suggestions from the aspects of analysis of targeted universities, construction of characteristic disciplines, personnel training structure, personnel team construction, scientific research layout, etc., and they suggested SDUT further revise and improve the construction plan and construction task book, accelerate the implementation of the construction plan, implement the guarantee mechanism, and ensure the effectiveness of high-level university construction.
At last, HU Xingyu made a summary, expressing gratitude to the experts. He said SDUT would carefully study the opinions and suggestions put forward by each expert, and further revise the construction plan and task book to make it more scientific-based and practicable. And SUDT will strive to achieve the established goals by the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
