On the afternoon of March 25th, SDUT held a mobilization conference for the study of Party history in the Auditorium of the University Art Center, and thoroughly studied and implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the mobilization conference for Party history education, and arranged and deployed the study of Party history study and education in accordance with the work requirements of the decision-making and deployment of the central Party committee and the provincial Party committee.
LYU Chuanyi, secretary of the Party committee and leader of the Party history study and education leading group of SDUT, made a mobilization speech. HU Xingyu, deputy secretary of the Party committee, president, and deputy leader of the Party history study and education leading group of SDUT, presided over the meeting. DENG Changliang, LIU Guohua, WANG Libin, WEI Xiuting, ZHA Yuxi, ZHANG Jinsheng, LIU Mingyong and ZHANG Siling, members of the leading group of the Party committee of SDUT, attended the meeting. All middle-level cadres, Party branch secretaries and counselors joined in the meeting.
In his speech, LYU Chuanyi pointed out that 2021 marked the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The CPC Central Committee's decision on conducting the study of Party history in the whole Party was a major decision made by the Party based on the new starting point of the Party's centennial history, coordinating the overall situation of the great rejuvenation strategy of the Chinese nation and the great changes that have not occurred in the world in a century, and mobilizing the whole Party and the whole country to devote themselves to building a socialist modern country in an all-round way with full confidence. It was at the right time and of great significance.
Focusing on “why to learn”, LYU Chuanyi expounded the great significance of deeply understanding the learning and education of Party history. He pointed out that carrying out the learning and education of Party history was a powerful driving force to promote the comprehensive and strict governance of the Party, an effective way to implement the fundamental task of cultivating people by virtues, and important guarantee to speed up the construction process of high-level universities.
As for “what to learn”, LYU Chuanyi stressed that we should accurately grasp the key tasks of Party history learning and education. We should focus on “learning the history of the party” and strengthen the ideals and beliefs; pay attention to “understanding Party’s thought” and enhance the armed theory; concentrate on “doing practical things” and practice the sense of purpose; center on “opening up a new situation” and promote reform and development.
In regard to “how to learn”，LYU Chuanyi pointed out that we should take various measures to ensure the effectiveness of Party history learning and education. First, we should strengthen leadership, fully implement the relevant deployment requirements of the higher authorities, and form a joint force of concerted efforts. Second, we should consolidate the responsibility, adhere to playing an exemplary role, strengthen classified guidance, and avoid formalism and act perfunctorily or superficially. Third, we should grasp the progress, integrate into daily life, pay attention to regular work, and conduct in-depth study according to the requirements of three stages. Fourth, we should strictly supervise and guide. Efforts should be made to guide and supervise key work and key time schedule, and strict requirements should be put into the whole process of supervision and guidance.
HU Xingyu put forward three requirements for carrying out the spirit of the mobilization meeting and conducting the study and education of Party history when he presided over the meeting. First, we should grasp the implementation in strengthening ideological understanding. We should produce a strong atmosphere of learning and public opinion, and conscientiously enhance our ideological consciousness, political consciousness, and action consciousness.Second, we should strengthen the implementation of responsibility.We should continue to play the leading role and work in an integrated way,establish a sound responsibility system and implementation mechanism,carry out a series of self-selected actions with distinctive characteristics,and diversify and expand the carrier of activities, so as to ensure that people's minds, hearts, and actions take effect.Third, we should pay attention to implement by the combination of learning and application. We should combine learning and education with the implementation of the fundamental task of cultivating people by virtues,the completion of key tasks, and the solution of the problem of teachers and students'worries,difficulties,anxieties and expections. We should solidly carry out the practical activity of “Do Practical Things for Teachers and Students” and promote the learning and education of Party history to go deeper and more practical.
